Water of Life

Why drink high fructose corn syrup with food coloring and a bit of electrolytes, when you can make your own hydrating water that tastes amazing and is GOOD for you? This drink is refreshing, hydrating, healing, and tasty!

Ingredients are simple, but specific.

1 quart water (you can use distilled, spring, or well water, but do not use city or tap water)

1 whole lemon, squeeze juice into the water and then plop the two lemon halves in as well.

1/2 tsp Real Salt ®

1 tbsp honey (raw, local honey, if possible)

Real Salt ® is a key ingredient. It is a brand of salt mined in Utah. Unlike nearly all other salts available, Real Salt ® contains a healthy ratio of minerals that are essential to enhance the balance of electrolytes without taking in too much sodium.

You can adjust the quantities of salt and honey to taste, if you like it less or more sweet, or if it is too salty. You will find that the more unbalanced you are, the more salt and honey you will need. As your electrolytes and hydration restore to normal, you will be able to reduce the salt and honey.
